Update: 1/31/2016

Wow! The first month of 2016 has come and gone. Wasn’t that quick?

Since New Year’s Day, I’ve started a new job, ramped up my run training, celebrated my 25th birthday, logged nearly 100 hours of CPA review, visited the girl, went on a bachelor’s party ski trip…and that is just the beginning! January was a very eventful month, one that went by a bit faster as expected.

In just two weeks time, I will be racing the Los Angeles Marathon (2/14/2016). The quick 40 hour trip to LA is two-fold: (1) to watch the Olympic Marathon Trials & (2) to qualify for the 2017 Boston Marathon. My last long training run was done yesterday in Central Park, which entailed four counter-clockwise loops of the park, totaling to 24 miles of fun in the sun (despite temps in the low 30’s).

Details of the run:

In terms of marathon-specific shape, I’m confident that I can run anywhere between 2:47 and 2:52. With a two week long taper, my body will be able to recover and hopefully be fresh by race day.

Stay tuned for results from the LA Marathon!
