Let it Snow, Again!

New York City is getting hit with snow again, and this time it’s a forecasted 3 to 6 inches! Although I won’t be going out on the road or TT bike, this gives me an opportunity to spice up my base training with mountain biking. This is all made possible through my friend Ken, who generously gave me his Trek Fuel 100. I was able to fit in a quick workout at Cunningham Park MTB trails this morning.

Title: MTB before the snow

USA Cycling License

I will be doing a handful of cycling races in 2014. One reason is to upgrade my status from a Category 5 to a Category 4. And another reason is to have fun while racing with my teammates from Mineola Bicycle Club. Our next big race is the Tour of Battenkill on April 4&5. That’ll be my debut (stand alone) cycling race.

Doing a VO2 Max cycling workout while watching Red 2. The snowy background was a pleasant addition to the training. I can get used to this view!
