Nassau Run Series Part 2 – Lido Beach 4 miler

Windy and flat. Not my favorite race conditions, but it’s always good to get a workout in. This was nothing special…so here are some pics!

Newton Running Elite Review

What a better way to celebrate the new year than breaking in new kicks!

I’ve been running in Newton running shoes for the past 2 years now, and I’ve had to privilege of trying their entire line of shoes. Back in October 2012, I attended the Ambassador Program that filled me with a wealth of running knowledge. Since then, I take biomechanics very seriously in my daily training. Let’s get to their newest shoe – the Elite.

The Elite is built on an entirely new upper platform while integrating the light and responsive outsole of the Distance model. The shoe is definitely one of the lightest models. After a few long runs and three weeks of tempo running, I have gotten used to the feeling of the shoe. It’s much more responsive than the Gravity, which I normally log most of my runs in.

As the running and triathlon season comes closer, I will be training and definitely racing in the Newton Elites!

Check out a couple of snapshots of the shoe.
